Oregon Intervention System (OIS)

Welcome to the Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Training Course, presented by HDE Home Care! We are thrilled to have you join us for this two-day training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively implement OIS in your educational or care setting.

During this two-day course, we will cover the following topics:

  1. Overview of the Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Learn about the origins, goals, and key components of the OIS, including its foundation in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
  2. Understanding interventions, and discovering how these levels of support work together to address students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  3. The significance of using data to drive instructional decisions and monitor student progress within the OIS framework.
  4. Using strategies for fostering effective collaboration among educators, care providers, and families in OIS processes.
  5. Learn about the steps and best practices for implementing OIS, as well as the resources and ongoing support available to ensure successful implementation.
  6. Discuss the importance of ongoing professional development and coaching for educators and care providers to effectively implement and sustain OIS.

Throughout this two-day training course, you will participate in interactive activities, group discussions, and hands-on exercises designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of OIS and how it can be applied in your educational or care setting. By the end of this course, you will be well-prepared to support the diverse needs of individuals and promote positive outcomes.

Cancellation policy

HDE will refund payment for the course, less $5 for processing, if the student notifies the instructor via email that they wish to cancel no less than 1 week before the start of the class. There are no refunds once the class is less than 1 week away.

The student can re-schedule the class to another opening listed on the HDE website at no additional cost if the student emails the instructor with at least 3 days notice before the class the student originally signed up for. There are no re-schedules allowed once the class is less than 3 days away.

Please allow up to 3 business days to process any refunds.
